Meet a Sports Medicine Physician - Dr. Daniel McFarland

Daniel McFarland, MD, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and a fellowship-trained primary care sports medicine (PCSM) specialist at University Hospitals Drusinsky Sports Medicine Institute. Dr. McFarland’s practice focuses on the evaluation and treatment of both pediatric and adult patients with sports- or trauma-related injuries. In addition to his medical practice, he provides emergency sideline coverage at Cleveland Browns home games, serves as the assistant team physician for athletics at Kent State University, and serves as the head team physician at Streetsboro, Ravenna, and Southeast high schools.

Dr. McFarland earned his medical degree from West Virginia University in 2015, completed his emergency medicine residency at Bellevue Hospital Center in 2019, and advanced his training with a fellowship in sports medicine at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center from 2022-2023.
